1. Petites! Cut your own jeans - the raw hem look is in and you can save yourself $15-$20 by carefully cutting your own jeans with these fabric scissors. NOTE: Make sure you wash and dry to pre-shrink your denim before making any alternations!

Find fabric scissors here.

2. Hourglass / curvy girls - adjust the waistband of your jeans to avoid the dreaded waist gap. Use these button pins to customize the waistband so your jeans fit you better.

Find jeans buttons here.

3. Want to create a ruched sleeve or 3/4 length jacket on a blazer? Use a basic kitchen elastic (4” or larger so it’s not too tight!) Put the elastic on the crook of your arm over your blazer, then adjust fabric to the look you love. This is also a great way to show the sleeve of the top you are wearing under your blazer for a layered look.

Find elastics here.

4. The fake tuck - use clear elastics to create a “ponytail” on the front of a t-shirt or blouse by wrapping the elastic around a small piece of fabric. Then, tuck only the ponytail you have created into your pants. It gives the illusion of a french tuck but without all the fixing every time you go to the bathroom!

Find clear elastics here.

5. The faux knot - Using the same clear elastic, pull the fabric through a clear elastic on the front or side (I prefer somewhere in between for an asymmetrical look). On the second pass with the elastic, don’t pull the fabric all the way through. It will create a knot that will look cute and draw in your top to define the waist and create a slightly cropped look.
